West Vadnais Sustainable Lake Management Report

A Sustainable Lake Management Report (SLMR) is now available for West Vadnais Lake. The SLMR compiles lake history, monitoring data, existing projects, partnership descriptions, and more to provide a solid resource and foundation for identification of new projects. These reports and timing for generation, review, and updates are identified in VLAWMO’s 10-year watershed plan. VLAWMO uses each report to communicate with local partners and to seek funding for future projects.

In the report, you'll find information about:

  • Fish and plant species found in the lake, water depth and contours, and species of conservation concern found nearby
  • Carp management
  • Partnership between VLAWMO and the Ramsey Washington Metro Watershed District (RWMWD) for West Vadnais efforts
  • Photos of wildlife in and around West Vadnais Lake
  • And more
