Common Carp Presentation

This presentation will highlight current large partnership-based projects in North Oaks and focus on the Common carp removal program that has been underway since 2019. Common carp reduce water quality and are invasive in Minnesota. Partners in this program include VLAWMO, Carp Solutions, NOC, SPRWS, NOHOA, WSB, and others. VLAWMO staff will discuss:   
  • Carp removal efforts on Pleasant Lake and connected waterbodies
  • Recent program updates and upcoming activities
  • Goals for removals and planning for future activities
  • Questions on carp removal or other efforts in North Oaks
