This event is a self-guided tour accommodating for social distancing.
Participants will be able to drive to various locations to see successful raingarden and native plant projects with the permission of the home or property owners. Registrants will receive an info-packet with locations, background information on projects, and instructions for property access. A second window of time will allow tour-goers to contact the host sites for questions and discussion via phone or email. This can be a great way to hear the stories behind the projects, learn about construction and maintenance details, and hear first-hand accounts on water-friendly landscaping.
The event runs Aug 22-23, each day running from 10 am - 4 pm. In this window participants are welcome to visit the host sites independently in any order.
Must live or work in the VLAWMO watershed to register. View a watershed map to find if you're in the watershed here.
The event is organized and facilitated by VLAWMO Master Water Stewards and former VLAWMO cost-share recipients, with help from VLAWMO staff.
