At their October 23rd, 2019 regular Board meeting, the VLAMWO Board of Directors approved Resolution 05-2019, deciding a Negative Declaration on the West Vadnais Lake Outlet Project Environmental Assessment Worksheet (EAW). After agency and public comments were discussed and responded to, a public hearing was held to allow for further public input into the decision consideration of the EAW. No public comment was received and the public hearing was closed.

While a Positive Declaration calls for further, more in-depth review of a project via an Environmental Impact Statement (EIS), a Negative Declaration considers the findings of facts and comments and responses to be sufficient environmental review, and the EAW is accepted.
