A rain barrel may be a good fit for your home. Rain barrels collect water from rooftops during rain events, reducing runoff and erosion. Water that collects in rain barrels can be used for watering your lawn or ornamental plants.
VLAWMO's Rain Barrel Grant Program funds up to two rain barrels per property. VLAWMO will reimburse 50% of the cost, up to $100 for each rain barrel. The total reimbursement cannot be more than $200. Copies of receipts of payment for the rain barrels must be submitted to receive reimbursement. Rain barrels purchased must be clearly stated on the receipt as proof of purchase, and the payment method must be clearly indicated.

Reimbursement funding is limited and renewed on an annual basis. Applications will be reimbursed on a first come, first served basis.
