Wetlands
The VLAWMO watershed has over 500 wetlands that provide valuable water storage and water quality support, as well as interaction with groundwater. More than half of Minnesota's wetlands have been lost or degraded due to development practices before state and federal wetland policies existed. VLAWMO now works to improve our remaining wetlands while promoting policies and practices that help communities understand wetlands and support their longevity.
On this page you will find resources and information about our local wetlands.
