Tamarack Lake
Tamarack Lake is located in Tamarack Nature Center in White Bear Township. It has one of the largest subwatersheds in the VLAWMO watershed, including Interstate 35E as well as residential and commercial developments. Tamarack Lake is listed as an impaired waterbody by the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency due to high nutrient levels. While surrounded by the nature center, the lake's current status is likely due to historical agricultural runoff and dumping from before the nature center existed.
