We're growing! VLAWMO is excited to be welcoming two new Minnesota Water Stewards for the 2021 program year. Beyond just a volunteer role, this program is facilitated by  the Freshwater Society and  is an engaging community stretching across the Twin Cities Metro and into rural Minnesota. Stewards that are successfully paired with VLAWMO as a host-site partake in: 

• Sponsorship in program training, led by professionals in water resources and community outreach fields. 
• Creation of a capstone project with support of host-site organization.
• Continued collaboration, creative project planning, and outreach with host site and other Minnesota Water Stewards. 
• Involvement with the VLAWMO Technical Commission.

Interested community members apply through Freshwater Society and VLAWMO will follow-up to schedule an informal interview on a rolling basis. 

Applications for VLAWMO serving as host-site are due by November 30th, 2020. Program cohort and training begins in January, 2021.
