VLAWMO Events Calendar Events for Calendar: VLAWMO Events Laminas_Feed_Writer 2 (https://getlaminas.org) https://www.vlawmo.org/events/all-events Earth Week WAV Lake Cleanup Weather permitting, join a group of Watershed Action Volunteers (WAV) for some fresh spring air and lakeshore cleaning! Help keep this beautiful community space along the Vadnais lakes clear from debris and trash. 

Event logistics:

  • We will meet at the County Road F entrance of Vadnais-Sucker Lake Park, across from Fairway Collision & Automotive. 
  • Please register in advance so we can ensure we have adequate materials for volunteers. Safety vests, gloves, and trash pickers will be available while supplies last. Volunteers can anticipate walking through brush, and depending on weather, the area may be damp - please dress accordingly. 
  • All participants will need to complete a liability form, which VLAWMO staff will have available onsite. 
  • Spread the word - bring a neighbor or friend!

Led by landscape designers from Metro Blooms Design+Build, this workshop will include:

  • Tips on how to assess your site and pursue a variety of clean water projects such as a rain barrel, native plants, or a rain garden
  • Time to meet with landscape designers and Garden Education Volunteers of Ramsey County to discuss your project ideas and plans
  • Access to helpful project resources
  • An overview of local grant funding opportunities that can support these projects

Registration is $15 per participant or free for residents of VLAWMO or Ramsey-Washington Metro Watershed District.
