In 2007, VLAWMO began a cost share program to help property owners within the watershed install rain gardens or restore shorelines which in turn, protect and improve our water resources. Similar programs exist in other watersheds as well as through the Ramsey Conservation District and Anoka Conservation District. With VLAWMO’s program, applicants are eligible for up to $1000 towards the cost of materials and contracted labor for a project. Design assistance is available at no cost through the Conservation Districts. To learn more about the program, contact Kristine Jenson at (651) 204-6074 or at kristine.jenson@vlawmo.org.
